Healthcare Governance, Compliance & Quality

Helping health and care organisations strengthen governance, adapt to regulatory change and improve outcomes.

I support health and care organisations to respond to changing regulatory requirements, strengthen governance arrangements and ensure that policies, procedures and guidance are translated into everyday practice that improves safety, quality and outcomes.

How I can help

  • Responding to changing regulatory requirements
  • Strengthening governance arrangements
  • Turning policies, procedures and guidance into everyday practice
  • Improving safety, quality and outcomes

My approach

Good governance isn't paperwork for its own sake. It's what keeps services safe and helps people do their best work.

With over 30 years in healthcare, including frontline, leadership and improvement roles, I focus on making governance practical: clear, understood by the people who use it, and part of how work really happens.

What changes

  • Services become safer and higher quality
  • Governance that people understand and use
  • Greater confidence in meeting regulatory requirements
  • Patients, clients and service users experience better outcomes

What people say

From feedback on work Liz led in NHS hospitals. Names and places have been removed.

Your calm and measured approach to the change agenda was particularly impressive and has made a significant impact on our team. The sense of ownership and pride among the team members is evident, and I believe it is a direct result of your guidance and encouragement.
Senior clinician, NHS
I initially felt like we already knew what we wanted to do. It is obvious now that your approach, using tools to analyse the current way of working, gave a much deeper level of understanding of where we were and how we move to where we wanted to be. You brought a lot of credibility to the ward, and the team have told me that they felt you knew what you were talking about and genuinely listened.
Senior operational manager, NHS
You never made us feel bad for not being there, simply kept us on track and feeling positive. It has been really helpful to be introduced to tools and methods that clinical areas can use themselves, to give them some ownership and the chance to ask themselves some difficult questions.
